President
Tanya Snell Mclemee (riding TXPH Blue Baby) graduated from Marshall, Texas ISD in 1994. Growing up, Tanya was deeply immersed in the equestrian lifestyle, including living, working, and training at the renowned Martha Josey Ranch (MJR). As a young barrel racer at MJR, she amassed numerous buckles, saddles, and trophies. Tanya formed a profound bond with the first Texas Prison Horse (TXPH) we rescued, named Coffield after a well-known Texas prison farm. This experience inspired her to dedicate her life to ensuring the welfare and safety of all TXPHs throughout the United States.

Vice President
Lane Stone has served the USAF for 2 years and counting. Lane loves his country and helping people. He loves all animals but has a soft spot for this great nation's career horses. He has found a "home" with the Texas Prison and Police Rescue that aligns perfectly with his mind. body and soul, he gets to help horses.
When his time isn’t spent at his local hospital providing patient care, you can find him transporting horses for TPPHR. His mileage knows no limits when it comes to getting them where they need to be, and he’s honored to complete each trip.

Secretary and Treasurer
Shelley Hill is the founder and President of Blue Line Ponies, Inc AND she is the Secretary and Treasurer of Texas Prison and Police Horse Rescue. She earned 2 nicknames growing up. The first one was "Bird" and the second one was "Bug".....I see a theme. Her mother tells the story about how after Shelley learned to talk, she never shut up, BUT, she only talked to animals until the age of four. Yes, she would communicate with humans but on such a low level that it is not even worth mentioning. Growing up Shelley road horses, had every pet imaginable, and to this day she is happiest loving on a critter.

Volunteer
Crystal was put on a horse at three years old by her aunt. She's never NOT been infatuated with them since. While in North Texas, she helped many horses, donkeys and mules out of the trader/auction/slaughter pipeline and into loving homes. She met Tim and Tanya in the Fall of 2022 and helps with the Facebook page.

Volunteer
I have had a passion for horses and horsemanship since I was a kid following in my grandfathers footsteps. The main reason I volunteer at TPPHR is that I have seen first hand how these horses are cared for and prepared for their new lives outside of their "careers". The Texas prison horse is unique and a very special animal the deserves the best retirement possible. That's why I am a volunteer for this awesome rescue.
